Heavy-Duty Truck Axle End-of-Line Quality Test - Gear Mesh Noise
-
Test Object:
Heavy-Duty Truck Axles -
Application Scenario:
End-of-Line Quality Test -
Challenges:
The main axle noise comes from the single-frequency gear mesh noise, making it easily audible even under the loud engine noise.
-
Method of Evaluation:
On the EOL test bench, speed, torque, vibration of the main and hub reducers are collected, and order analysis is performed during the uniform acceleration and deceleration of the axle. Figure 2 shows that the order spectrum amplitude of defective products is significantly higher than that of qualified products with the sideband of 1st order (input shaft order).
