Electric Motor End-of-Line Quality Test - Abnormal Noise
-
Test Object:
NEV e-Drive Motors -
Application Scenario:
End-of-Line Quality Test -
Challenges:
- Manufacturing and assembly process error, as well as rotating shaft deflection often causes eccentricity, resulting in loud motor noises.
- Even with coaxiality inspection before assembling the motor, it is difficult to effectively control static and dynamic eccentricity after assembly.
-
Method of Evaluation:
- SigMA supports multi-point noise and vibration detection of the motor (Figure 1), providing comprehensive evaluation on whether the test object is qualified, thus avoiding false alarm and missed detection typical in evaluations based on a singular method.
- Additionally, SigMA can differentiate between static and dynamic eccentricity, as well as obtain quantitative values of static eccentricity rate, orientation angle and dynamic eccentricity rate.
