Electric Drive System Early Failure Diagnosis - NVH Degradation
-
Test Object:
NEV Electric Drive System -
Application Scenario:
Early Failure Diagnosis in Durability Test -
Challenges:
- With speeds exceeding 20,000 rpm, e-motors in NEVs put great demands on the reliability of the motor and gearbox.
- The shaft current of the motor often causes galvanic corrosion and damage to the bearing.
- Over time, the NVH of the e-drive system decays.
-
Method of Evaluation:
- While conducting durability test on the test bench, ETa monitors and learns the vibration of the motor and gearbox under different operating conditions, and accurately picking up faults in the early stages and sets off alarms in a timely manner.
- In addition, ETa performs online monitoring and offline diagnostic analysis of the order of key components such as the motor, bearings, and gears.

Figure 1: The 3D order spectrum shows a significant increase in the 1st gear mesh order

Figure 2: The trend chart shows gradually increasing vibration indicators have been detected
