BLDC Motor End-of-Line Quality Test - Speed Fluctuation

  • Test Object:

    BLDC Motors
  • Application Scenario:

    End-of-Line Quality Test
  • Challenges:

    • On top of high speed fluctuations, no motor speed signal could be obtained from the test object.
    • Scratching, beeping, clattering noises are masked by louder sounds, making it difficult to pick up by ear.
    • Sound level meters and spectrum analyzers are also ineffective in this case.
    • Additionally, the production pace is fast. Inline quality tests would have to be instantaneous to match.
  • Method of Evaluation:

    • The motor speed is obtained in real-time using automatic speed recognition algorithm.
    • The system utilizes a smart denoising technology to extract pertinent abnormal features and to learn from them, thereby effectively identifying and intercepting faulty motors (Figure 2 and Figure 3).
    • Real-time detection is achieved through optimized edge computing.
